Another trekking route worth visiting is the Kumaon-Garhwal High Altitude Links that starts from the Kumaon road head in the Goriganga Valley. This route skirts the Eastern flanks of Nanda Devi Sanctuary and continues to Milam, over the Unta Dhura pass and enters the Girith Ganga valley of Garhwal using the Niti Pass and Bara Hoti. The Gori Glacier houses another trekking route which takes 4 days to reach the south Goriganga Glacier from the historic Milan Village. The best times for you to consider trekking in Uttar Pradesh, and the Kumaon hills of Uttar Pradesh is during the months of May and October. It is possible to go trekking in Uttar Pradesh lower altitudes during the winter months too. When you go trekking in Uttar Pradesh, you can reach the different trekking destinations either by rail or road. It all depends on the location you intend to visit for your trekking.
